Alejandro Bergantinos is a Galician footballer who plays for Deportivo de La Coruña as a central midfielder. He had his first professional spell as a footballer in 2008, at already 23: loaned by local Deportivo de La Coruña, he was an essential midfield figure as Xerez . Bergantiños moved to Granada for the 2010–2011 season, still owned by Deportivo. In January he ended his contract with the former and joined, in the same predicament, another side in the second level, Gimnàstic de Tarragona. Bergantiños returned to Galicia for the 2011–2012 campaign, and soon became a first-team regular, appearing in all the league games and helping his team achieve promotion back to the top flight.
